Celebrating Heriot-Watt Women Engineers

Celebrating Heriot-Watt Women Engineers

Professor Mercedes Maroto-Valer, interviewed by Dr Gabriela Medero and Dr Aruna Ivaturi, will be sharing tales of her career to date; the highs and lows, the pivotal times, people who made a difference, key events and life stages.

There will be a networking buffet lunch over which you will have the chance to meet other engineers, share your experiences, and explore opportunities. Come along and tell others why you chose a career in engineering.

This event is being organised by the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences as part of their Athena SWAN activities. The Athena SWAN Charter recognises commitment to advancing women's careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) employment in academia. The Charter was launched in June 2005. Any higher education institution or publicly-funded STEMM-focused research institute which is committed to the advancement and promotion of the careers of women in STEMM in higher education and research can apply for membership.

Places at this event are limited, please register online in advance to secure yours.
