Heriot-Watt researchers to exhibit at The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition

The Summer Science Exhibition showcases the most exciting cutting-edge science and technology research. It provides a unique opportunity for members of the public to interact with scientists and ask them questions about their work.

Competition for the exhibition is very strong and the University has achieved success by attaining invitations to host two stands in July 2014.

The successful applicants were Professor Peter Woodward (Institute for Infrastructure and Environment) and Dr Jonathan Leach (Institute of Photonics and Quantum Sciences) who are working alongside HW Engage to prepare for this opportunity.

Professor Woodward will exhibit his research on the ground dynamics of ultra high-speed trains and Dr Jonathan Leach will exhibit his research on 3D imaging using single pixels in conjunction with University of Glasgow.
